"We went through a negotiation that nobody really knew about with Mayweather. Some group came in wanting to put it in a particular country and Mayweather asked for a number that was so high that he indicated that he didn't want to fight," stated promoter Bob Arum, who suprisingly revealed that he and fellow Hall of Fame promoter Don King had a private negotiation in hopes of putting together the fight we've all been waiting for, the highly anticipated showdown between pound-for-pound champions Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.
